My parents pay for their water by a common meter, I do not. In my neighborhood, we have a community well that pumps cool water to all the homes on the block for a small monthly fee.
There is no meter, but we have a cap on the monthly amount of water we are supposed to draw from the well…no filling the pool, no watering the lawn for days on end non-stop, and if we are caught taking more than our fair share of the water from the main then we can incur additional fees.

Like skipping past those commercials? The industry doesn’t and want to criminalize it. You have to read this article…TVs that inhibit changing the channel during ads, DVRs that disable FF during commercials…

Doesnt Red China also mandate what their citizens watch and how they watch it?

I just saw the President of the United States addressing the White House Correspondents Association Dinner the other night. I havn’t laughed out loud like that from a video in a while so I thought that I would share.

Well, it is 1969 all over again. During Woodstock, Hendrix wowed the crowd with his version of the National Anthem, a version that almost all of us have heard still today. Back then, this riff was seen as discraceful and disrespectful toward the Country…and maybe it was even meant to be. The sounds and fingering of his guitar is reminiscent of the sounds of the controversial Vietnam War.

Or is today a 1990 rerun of Rosanne Barr singing the Anthem opening a forgotten baseball game. I can understand Jimi’s want to make a statement, it was the late 60’s…but what global atrocity was Rosy protesting?
